I noticed today that the breakfall website is pretty much gone! Breakfall and GBYWN both have a bit of a storied history together. BYWPedia has a bit of information about it here: http://editthis.info/bywpedia/Breakfall.net

Breakfall started basically from discontentment from australian wrestlers of the BYW community around 2007. Which the community was mostly dominated by the Link, and GBYWN didn't have forums or anything at the time. Technologically it was (and probably still is if it was still around) the most advanced BYW community. Each fed had their own page they could update with roster, pictures, and videos. It was a self contained youtube and community for backyard wrestling. They had their own programmer named Brovata working on things. I used to make jokes about brovata because he didn't want to watch a 20 minute match, instead suggesting I made music videos lol.

Not a while after, Cam started the GBYWN forums. And like Eric Bischoff and Vince McMahon, Cam sent a message to Chris Cryptic and said "let the competition begin" in short. It didn't seem like Cryptic took it seriously as Breakfall obviously had the more resources. I would say at the time too, Breakfall was relatively larger in user base. It was quite hard getting anyone on the GBYWN forums at the time, if you guys look, im the 3rd member (after Cam's 2 accounts) on GBYWN.

What actually got the competition going, not many people know this, was when Cheese Kid, Steven Alvarez, said he was going to make a GBYWN video game. Cam advertised that people had to be forum members to get on the video game. And I was helping with the graphics design (that is why all of those GBYWN profiles were made!). But this got a ton load of people joining the forums, because the idea of a BYW video game was cool. Well breakfall would lampoon it on their front page of their website (a Bischoff move?). And it was not so cool for the guys who thought they had BYW seniority (pretty much the same batch of guys who were banned on GBYWN the last time). Eventually the game was canceled because those guys were complaining so much, Cheese Kid didn't want to do it anymore.

The snowball had already started though and it didn't stop until the end of the year when all of the banned guys were let back. Now as for breakfall was going steady for a while, wasn't quite growing or shrinking. But problems started to arise when Brovata was becoming a no-show. Breakfall continued though to lampoon GBYWN on the from page, including the two times where the forums were deleted (by those same group of guys believe it or not!), and the GBYWN dollars idea. But as GBYWN was coming up with ideas, Breakfall was becoming crippled as they couldn't implement anything new without their programmer. The first sign of the down fall was when the new member registration was broken with no one to fix it. I guess it was just a matter of time after that. With more people coming to GBYWN to see the new ideas, Breakfall only had its original australian base remaining, as no new members could register. I am not sure what happened after that. But I can imagine it just slowly fizzled away unable to grow, and Chris Cryptic didn't bother to renew the domain.

Lol I just checked that awhile ago. BFN is officially dead. GBYWN wins lol. But there is still Nosell, the new Australian boards.

How big is Nosell? I haven't heard of that board.

It is basically BFN relocating over there. It is a close knit forum. Also by my count, there is GBYWN, Spot Monkey, BYW Rulz, No Sell, NBYWA, and UKBYW that I know of still actively running as BYW forums.

YES even though the video game didnt happen.. it was still AWESOME!!!!

The One Night Stand sounds interesting, but I have made some promises and my life is going in a different direction now, so it is best that I keep my hands out of it so no more trouble is caused.
